Bolabet Company Limited - Terms and Conditions for Betshare Leaderboard Promotion

 

1. Introduction

 

Bolabet Company Limited (“Bolabet”) is pleased to introduce the Betshare Leaderboard Promotion designed to reward customers who engage with and grow the Bolabet community by sharing their bet codes. By generating and sharing qualifying bet codes during the promotion period, participants stand a chance to win weekly prizes, including cash and freebets, based on the total stake accumulated from other users placing bets through their shared codes. This document sets out the terms and conditions governing the promotion and forms a legally binding agreement between Bolabet and each participant. All participants are encouraged to read these terms carefully before taking part.

 

2. Promotion Period

  • Start Date: The promotion begins at 12:00 PM CAT on 04 August 2025.
  • End Date: The promotion runs until 23:59 PM CAT on 15 September 2025.
  • The promotion is divided into weekly cycles (Monday 00:00 to Sunday 23:59) during this period. Each weekly cycle is a separate competition for the leaderboard prizes.
  • All times are in Central Africa Time (CAT) and all times related to the promotion will be determined based on the server time of the Bolabet website.
  • Any bets or code usages outside the stated times will not be considered for that week’s promotion.

3. Eligibility

  • Participants must be 18 years or older to enter the promotion. Underage gambling is prohibited by law. Bolabet reserves the right to request proof of age and identity at any time.
  • This promotion is open only to persons residing within the territorial limits of Zambia.
  • Participants must have an active, registered account on the Bolabet Zambia website (www.bolabet.co.zm) and be logged in when generating the bet share code. The account must be in the participant’s own name and fully verified. Unverified or suspended accounts are not eligible.
  • Only one account per person is allowed for this promotion. Multiple accounts belonging to the same individual are not permitted; if a participant is found to control more than one account, they will be disqualified and ineligible for prizes.
  • Employees, agents, and representatives of Bolabet Company Limited, and their immediate family members (spouse, parents, children, siblings), are not eligible to participate in this promotion. This restriction also applies to any person professionally connected with the promotion (such as marketing agencies).
  • Bolabet reserves the right to verify the identity, age, and eligibility of any participant at any stage. Participants may be required to provide valid identification documents (e.g. National ID or passport) and proof of residency upon request. Failure to provide such documentation or if any details are found to be false will result in immediate disqualification from the promotion, and any prize already awarded will be forfeited.

4. How to Generate a Shared Bet Code

 

To participate in the Betshare Leaderboard, you must create and share a valid bet code as follows:

  • 1. Log In: Sign in to your Bolabet account on www.bolabet.co.zm. If you do not have an account, you must register first (only registered users can generate shareable codes).
  • 2. Select Matches: Pick your sports events and markets. You need a minimum of 3 selections on your betslip (from any sports or leagues) with a total combined odds of at least 5.00. This is the minimum bet composition required to generate a shareable code.
  • 3. Generate Code: Once your betslip meets the requirements, you have two options:
    • Place & Share: Click on “Bet Now” to place the bet for yourself, and then select the “Place and Share” option. This will place your bet and simultaneously generate a unique bet code for that betslip.
    • Book-A-Bet (Share without staking): Alternatively, you can use the “Book a Bet” feature. After selecting your matches and markets, click “Book-A-Bet.” A pop-up will display a unique booking code for your selected bet combination without requiring you to stake at that moment.
  • 4. Obtain Code/Link: After either placing and sharing, or booking the bet, you will receive a unique bet code (and a shareable link) representing that betslip. This code corresponds to the exact selections and odds you chose.
  • 5. Share the Code: Share this code (or the generated link) with your friends or other bettors. You can share it via social media, messaging apps, or any platform of your choice. Participants are encouraged to promote their bet codes responsibly and within their networks. Remember, the more people who use your code to place bets, the more your accumulated stake total will grow for the leaderboard.

Important: Each shared bet code must meet the minimum 3 selections and 5.00 total odds criteria at the time of creation. Codes that do not meet these minimum requirements are not valid for the promotion and will not accumulate any leaderboard credit. Additionally, you must be logged in to your account when generating the code for it to be eligible for the promotion (guest or anonymous code generation will not count).

 

5. How the Promotion Works (Participation and Leaderboard)

  • The Betshare Leaderboard promotion is structured in weekly tournaments. Each weekly cycle runs from Monday 00:00 hours to Sunday 23:59 hours (CAT) within the overall promotion period. At the start of each week, all participants’ accumulated totals are reset to zero for the new competition week.
  • When you share a bet code, any other Bolabet customer can use that code to load the identical betslip on their account. Every time another person places a bet using your shared code, the full stake amount of that bet is added to your “accumulated stake” total for the week. The more people that use your code (and the higher their bet amounts), the higher your total becomes on the leaderboard. Your own bets do NOT count toward your total, only bets placed by other individuals using your code are counted.
  • There is no limit to how many different people can use your shared code. Likewise, a single code can be used multiple times by different users (or even by the same friend on different bets) during the week. Each qualifying bet placed with your code will contribute to your total. However, you cannot “self-use” your own code on the same account.
  • You may generate and share multiple different bet codes in a given week if you wish (for example, on different matches or days). All qualifying stakes wagered by others on any of your codes during the week will be aggregated into one overall total under your account for leaderboard ranking. Only codes generated during that current week count towards that week’s leaderboard total. Shared codes generated in a prior week will not carry over to the next week’s competition.
  • Bolabet will maintain a real-time or daily-updated leaderboard showing participants ranked by their accumulated stake totals. You will be able to see your current ranking and total (e.g., via the promotion or leaderboard page when logged in). Bolabet is not responsible for any temporary discrepancies or delays in the leaderboard updates but will endeavour to keep the leaderboard as accurate as possible throughout the week.
  • In the event that two or more participants have the exact same accumulated stake total by the end of the week (tie for a leaderboard position), the tie will be broken by considering who reached the total first. The participant who achieved that total amount earlier in time (chronologically) will be ranked higher. This means timing of reaching a stake milestone matters, so sharing your codes earlier in the week and accumulating stakes faster can give you an edge in tie situations.
  • Only bets placed (by others) using your code within the Monday–Sunday window count for that week. Bets placed after the Sunday 23:59 cutoff will count toward the next week’s competition (if the promotion is still running) or not at all if the promotion has ended. At the end of each Sunday, the week’s leaderboard results are finalised (subject to any voided bet adjustments, see below) and the top 10 winners are identified. All participants then start fresh at 0 when the next week begins (Monday 00:00).

6. Qualifying Bets and Code Usage Conditions

 

To ensure fair play and accurate tracking, the following conditions apply to bets placed using shared codes:

  • A bet placed by another user using your code qualifies for your accumulated total only if it is successfully placed and not subsequently voided or fully cashed out. The bet can be of any stake amount (there is no minimum stake for it to count, aside from Bolabet’s normal minimum bet rules), and it can include more than the minimum 3 selections as long as the original code criteria were met.
  • If a bet placed through your code is voided (e.g., due to event cancellation or odds error), that bet’s stake will not count toward your total. Bolabet will automatically deduct any voided wager from the accumulated stake total if it had been initially counted. Similarly, if a match in the betslip is voided and the bet partially wins or is refunded, only the non-void portion (if any) counts, and fully voided bets count as 0.
  • If a user cashes out a bet that was placed using your code, that bet will not count toward your accumulated stake (or will be removed from your total if it was initially counted). This is to prevent abuse of the cashout feature to inflate stakes. Only bets that run to completion (settlement) without cashing out contribute to the promotion.
  • As noted, your own bets do not count. If you generated a code by placing a bet (using “Place and Share”), the stake you placed is not included in your leaderboard total, only other customers’ stakes using that code are counted. Likewise, you cannot increase your total by betting with your code from another account you control (this will be considered a violation if detected).
  • Shared codes are intended for use by other Bolabet players within Zambia. Bolabet’s platform is region-locked to Zambia for this promotion, so codes should not be usable by accounts registered in other countries. Any bets somehow placed by foreign accounts or outside Zambia’s jurisdiction will not be counted. Bolabet reserves the right to nullify any code usage that circumvents its territorial or platform restrictions.
  • There is no restriction on the same person using multiple different codes from different participants. For example, User A and User B might both share codes and User C can choose to bet using both A’s and B’s codes on different bets. In such case, User A and User B will each benefit from the bets User C placed with their respective codes. However, a participant cannot benefit from code usage from any account that is registered to themselves or that Bolabet suspects is controlled by them (no self-referrals or multi-accounting).

7. Prizes and Winner Announcements

 

Each week, the Top 10 participants on the leaderboard (ranked by highest total accumulated stake from others using their codes) will win prizes. The prizes for each weekly tournament are as follows:

  • 1st Place: K5,000 in Cash (credited to the winner’s Bolabet account balance)
  • 2nd Place: K2,500 in Cash (credited to the winner’s Bolabet account balance)
  • 3rd Place: K1,000 in Cash (credited to the winner’s Bolabet account balance)
  • 4th Place: K500 FreeBet
  • 5th Place: K250 FreeBet
  • 6th Place: K100 FreeBet
  • 7th Place: K50 FreeBet
  • 8th Place: K25 FreeBet
  • 9th Place: K25 FreeBet
  • 10th Place: K25 FreeBet

Cash prizes (1st–3rd) are paid in withdrawable cash to the winners’ Bolabet accounts. FreeBet prizes (4th–10th) are credited as bonus vouchers (free betting credits) subject to the FreeBet Terms listed in the next section. All prizes are denominated in Zambian Kwacha (K). Prizes are not transferable and not exchangeable for other rewards. Winners cannot request a substitution (for example, a freebet cannot be exchanged for cash, and vice versa).

 

Weekly winners will be determined at the end of each promotion week (every Sunday at 23:59). The final leaderboard standings will be verified by Bolabet officials. The top 10 winners will be officially announced on the following Monday. Bolabet will publish the winners’ usernames (or first name and last initial, or another anonymized identifier) on its website or social media pages and/or notify winners directly via account message, SMS, email or phone call as appropriate. By participating, you agree to allow Bolabet to announce your name/username in winner communications if you are a prize winner.

 

Prizes will be credited to winners’ Bolabet accounts within 48 hours of the weekly winner announcement (barring any unforeseen technical delays). Cash prizes will appear in your cash wallet/balance, and free bets will appear in your bonus wallet or free bet section. If a winner’s account is under review or pending verification at the time of prize award, Bolabet may delay crediting the prize until the account is verified and in good standing. In the unlikely event of any dispute or error in winner selection, Bolabet’s management decision is final and binding (see General Terms below).

 

If after applying the tie-break rule (earliest to achieve the stake) there is still an exact tie that affects the top 10 cutoff (for example, two participants are tied for 10th place), Bolabet will decide a fair method to allocate the final spot or prize. This may include splitting the prize or giving both participants a reward at Bolabet’s discretion. Bolabet’s decision on resolving ties is final.

 

8. FreeBet Prize Terms

 

If you win a FreeBet (places 4 to 10), the following specific terms and conditions apply to the use of that free bet credit:

  • The free bet amount (e.g. K500, K250, etc., as per your prize) will be credited to your account as a FreeBet Voucher. This will be visible in your account under the promotions or freebets section. It is not withdrawable and has no cash value and it must be used to place bets on the Bolabet platform.
  • When using the free bet, you must adhere to the following conditions: a minimum of 3 selections on your betslip, and a total combined odds of at least 5.00 for the betslip. These are the same parameters that were required to generate share codes, and they apply to how the Freebet must be used. If you attempt to use the Freebet on a wager that doesn’t meet these criteria (e.g. fewer than 3 legs or lower odds), the bet will not be accepted.
  • Winnings from the free bet are subject to a 10x turnover requirement before they can be withdrawn. This means after you place the free bet and if it wins, the resultant winnings will be credited as a bonus balance that must be wagered (bet) 10 times over. For example, if a K100 free bet wins K500, you would need to place an aggregate of K5000 in bets thereafter to meet the 10x wagering requirement on those winnings. Only after meeting this requirement will the winnings be transferred to your cash balance for withdrawal. If you withdraw before meeting the requirement, the bonus and any winnings may be forfeited at Bolabet’s discretion.
  • A Free Bet must be used in its entirety in one go, it cannot be split across multiple wagers. If your Freebet prize is K500, you must use the full K500 on a single betslip (with 3+ legs at min 5.00 odds). You cannot, for instance, use K300 and save K200 for later. Any unused portion of a Freebet is forfeited once you place a bet with it. Additionally, free bet stakes cannot be combined with real-money stakes on the same betslip. You must use the FreeBet alone, if you wish to place a larger stake than the free bet value, you would forfeit the free bet and use cash instead.
  • When you place a wager using a Freebet, only the winnings (net profit) from that bet will be credited to your account as bonus or cash – the original free bet stake is not returned to you. For example, if you use a K100 free bet on a 5.00 odds bet and win, you get K400 profit credited (K500 payout minus the K100 stake), not K500.
  • Free bets can be used on any sports or markets offered by Bolabet, provided the betslip meets the min selections/odds rules above. They cannot be used on casino games, virtuals, or any non-sports products. If Bolabet specifies any additional restrictions (e.g., only on certain leagues or events), those will be communicated alongside the free bet (at present, there are no additional sport restrictions).
  • Free bet prizes are valid for 5 days from the time they are credited. The free bet must be used (and settled) within 5 calendar days or it will expire and be removed from your account. Expired free bets will not be reinstated or compensated. It is the winner’s responsibility to use the free bet in time.
  • Each weekly leaderboard participant can win at most one free bet prize per week. If you place in the top 10 multiple weeks, you will receive the corresponding prize each week, but within one week you cannot get more than one prize. Free bets are limited to one per person, per prize category.
  • All standard Bolabet Freebet terms and conditions apply to the use of these Freebet prizes (except where overridden by specific terms above). This includes that Freebets have no monetary value, cannot be withdrawn or transferred, and any attempt to abuse Freebets may result in cancellation of the Freebet and associated winnings. Void bets or cashed out bets will not count toward the wagering requirement if you are completing the 10x turnover on winnings (you will need to wager further to compensate).

9. Disqualification and Fraud Prevention

 

Bolabet is committed to running a fair and transparent promotion. Any form of misconduct, fraud, or abuse will result in disqualification and other possible consequences. Below are scenarios and Bolabet’s policies:

  • Bolabet will continuously monitor all bets and code sharing activity for irregular patterns. This includes but is not limited to: collusion between participants and bettors, use of multiple accounts by one person, guaranteed-profit schemes, or any unnatural betting behaviours intended to inflate a participant’s leaderboard total dishonestly. If any violation or suspected violation of the promotion rules or Bolabet’s general rules is detected, for example, a participant betting through their own code via another account, or two participants swapping codes to bet for each other, Bolabet may immediately disqualify the participant(s) involved without notice.
  • Creating multiple accounts to participate in the promotion (whether to use your own code or have a controlled “friend” account use your code) is strictly prohibited. If Bolabet identifies that a participant’s code was used by accounts linked to the same person (or a ring of participants using each other’s codes with no real independent bettors involved), those participants will be disqualified, and all involved accounts may be suspended. All entries from disqualified participants or accounts connected to them will be void and ineligible for prizes.
  • If a participant is disqualified for any reason (e.g., breach of terms, fraudulent activity, ineligibility), they forfeit any potential prize for that week. Bolabet reserves the right to adjust the leaderboard accordingly (e.g., if the 1st place is disqualified, the 2nd place may be deemed the winner, and so on down the list). The next eligible participant on the leaderboard may be moved into a prize position at Bolabet’s discretion. Bolabet’s decision in this regard is final.
  • In the event that a leaderboard displays incorrect information due to technical bugs or errors (for example, a bet was not recorded or an incorrect total was shown), Bolabet reserves the right to correct the error retroactively. If the error affected prize distribution, Bolabet will take appropriate measures to ensure fairness, which may include adjusting winners. Bolabet does not accept liability for any technical failures or network issues that may impede participation (such as inability to generate or use codes due to downtime) and will not be responsible for bets or code uses that fail to record in our system due to such issues. Participants acknowledge that internet connectivity and site functionality can be affected by factors beyond Bolabet’s control, and no claims for lost opportunities will be honored in such cases.
  • Any account that becomes suspended, blocked, or closed (whether by the user or by Bolabet) before the prize payout will be ineligible to receive a prize.

10. General Terms and Conditions

 

10.1 By participating in the Betshare Leaderboard promotion, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, as well as Bolabet’s Terms and Conditions of Use and General Betting Rules which apply to all users and bets and can be read on Bolabet’s website: www.bolabet.co.zm. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not participate. Bolabet’s General Betting Rules and Terms and Conditions of Use apply in conjunction with these promotional terms and conditions.

 

10.2 Bolabet’s management will be the sole arbiter of any issue arising from this promotion or these terms. In the event of any dispute or ambiguity, the decision of Bolabet’s management is final and binding on all participants. No correspondence or appeals will be entertained. Bolabet reserves the right not to award a prize (or to seek return of any prize) if it has reasonable grounds to believe that a participant has violated any term or law in connection with the promotion.

 

10.3 Bolabet reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel this promotion (in whole or in part) at any time, for any reason, and without prior notice. This may be done due to technical difficulties, changes in regulatory environment, or any other circumstances outside Bolabet’s control that affect the integrity or feasibility of the promotion. However, any such changes will be made with the approval of the relevant regulatory authority if required. Bolabet will make an effort to notify participants of major changes (e.g., by updating these terms on the website and/or sending communication), but it is each participant’s responsibility to check for updates to the terms.

 

10.4 By entering the promotion, participants agree that Bolabet (and its parent, affiliates, and partners) will not be liable for any loss, injury, claim, or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the promotion or any prize, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Bolabet is not responsible for: (a) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by participants or by any of the equipment or programming associated with the promotion, (b) technical failures such as interruptions in any network, server, internet, website, or hardware device that may affect the promotion’s operation, (c) unauthorised human intervention in any part of the entry process or the promotion, or (d) any other error or problem that may occur in the administration of the promotion. Bolabet’s only obligation in the event of any error or unforeseen issue is to either allow the promotion to proceed with adjustments or to cancel it.

 

10.5 Any and all tax liabilities or requirements related to winnings are the sole responsibility of the winner. Bolabet is not liable for any taxes that may be due on winnings. Winners are advised to seek independent advice if they are unsure about tax implications. In the event Bolabet is required by law to withhold any portion of winnings for tax reporting or remittance, Bolabet will do so in compliance with local regulations.

 

10.6 By accepting a prize, each winner grants Bolabet the right to use their name, nickname/alias, likeness, and/or image in any Bolabet marketing or announcements related to this promotion without any further compensation or notice, unless prohibited by law. For example, Bolabet may publish a winner’s first name and last initial or username and their prize on social media, the Bolabet website, or other press releases. Winners may also be requested (but are not obligated) to participate in additional publicity or promotional activities e.g., an interview or photo and by accepting the prize, winners agree to consider such requests reasonably. Bolabet will respect winners’ privacy and will not use personal details for marketing purposes without consent beyond the scope of this promotion.

 

10.7 By participating, players acknowledge that information provided is collected by Bolabet as outlined in its Privacy Policy available on Bolabet’s website: www.bolabet.co.zm. Players acknowledge and agree that Bolabet may collect, store, and process their personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy, including but not limited to name, contact details, and betting activity. Bolabet may also use standard technologies such as cookies and tracking tools to monitor usage patterns, detect fraud, ensure system integrity, and personalise player experience across its platforms. Players have the right to request access to or correction of their personal data as provided for under applicable data protection laws.

 

10.8 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Zambia. Any disputes or claims arising from the promotion will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Zambia, unless overriding gambling regulatory procedures apply. Bolabet is licensed and operates under Zambian law.

 

10.9 By entering, participating in, or accepting any prize/winnings or cash backs from this promotion, each player (including all entrants, participants, users, and winners) agrees to indemnify, release, and hold harmless Bolabet, its subsidiaries, affiliated companies, directors, officers, employees, agents, suppliers, service providers, and contractors from and against any and all claims, demands, liabilities, losses, damages, injuries, costs, or expenses of any kind - whether direct or indirect, actual or consequential - arising out of or in connection with their participation in the promotion, the awarding, use, misuse, or acceptance of any winnings or cash backs or any related activity or decision made by Bolabet, including but not limited to decisions regarding eligibility, bet qualification, prize calculations, technical malfunctions, errors in exchange rate application, cash backs, prize distribution, or cancellation, suspension, or amendment of the promotion.

 

10.10 If any provision of these terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and if it cannot be modified, it shall be severed and removed. The remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

 

10.11 In the event of a dispute, players should refer to Bolabet’s Terms and Conditions of Use (section 15) and address the issue to support@bolabet.co.zm.

10.13 Participation in the promotion constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Bolabet reserves the right to refuse entry or disqualify any participant if there are reasonable grounds to believe these terms have been violated. Non-compliance with any term of the promotion will result in disqualification and forfeiture of any prize and or winnings. Bolabet’s failure to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

 

10.14 These promotional terms are an extension of Bolabet’s standard Terms and Conditions of Use and General Betting Rules. Where not explicitly modified by the above, all general rules and terms of the Bolabet platform remain in effect during this promotion. By participating, you also confirm that you are not breaching any laws in your country of residence regarding the legality of participating in promotions of this nature. Bolabet will not be liable if you participate in this promotion unlawfully.
